Only eight miles from Leicester city, near the village of Thurlaston, Normanton Shooting Ground is located in a beautiful parkland setting. Surrounded by mature trees, the shooting ground pavilion lies at the head of a natural valley running down to a lake, one of the estates fisheries.

Established in 1968 by Mr. Walter Benbow, who now runs the game shoot & course fishery, as the Thurlaston Gun Club, the Normanton Shooting Ground is run by his son Stephen, and his wife April, & now is a thriving centre for the regular & novice clay shooter to participate at this popular sport.
